The programs being traded are 100% systematic: regardless of economic reports, worldwide events, political happenings etc., Red Cedar Systems Trading LLC follows the same trading rules regardless of outside influence. These trading programs follow day trading methods: no trading position is carried overnight. Day trading margins (amount of $$ on deposit with brokerage firm) are considerably lower than overnight trading margins. Even though these trading programs are day traded, substantial price movements (positive, negative) occur frequently.
This type of investment is known as an alternative investment. An alternative investment can have a positive outcome in both a down market as well as a bullish market. An alternative investment can work as a hedge for your equities portfolio if/ when a correction or bear market descends on the stock market.
